Born and raised in Mazatenango, Guatemala (1988). Due to unforeseen circumstances, he moved to the United States as a refugee. Now currently lives and works in the beautiful California.
He remembers his mother working in a photography lab, and his memories go back to playing with cameras and their cases and shooting Polaroids. When he was seven, his mother gave him a Vivitar Micro 110.
Growing up, while studying engineering at the San Carlos University of Guatemala, he saw a curriculum that included everything that interested him: from philosophy to literature, advertising, film… and of course, photography. This triggered his childhood memories and intrigued him to learn how cameras worked, so he decided to drop out.
He photographed weddings and social events while studying, but after graduating, he dedicated himself to other fields that kept him away from photography for several years.
However, now he believes the time is right, and his commitment is complete: to photograph and live.
